Are you interested in a transformative education? Are you hoping to co-create a better future for all? Are you a professional or student in the field of sustainability, social work, creativity, culture, and/or education? Would you like to spend two weeks in Tanzania and Germany exploring solutions for a more sustainable future?

We are pleased to invite you to join us for a collective learning journey taking place in Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) and Hamburg (Germany).

AGE & LANGUAGE
There is no age limit. The working language is English, though translations will be available.

FEE
Participation fee (depending on funding)
for participants from Hamburg: 1400€ if paid by individual or 1800€ if paid by organisations.
For participants from Dar es Salaam: 250€

The fee covers the program costs, travel (up to 800 Euro per person) and CO2-emission compensation, food, and lodging in shared rooms. We appreciate it if you want to contribute more.
And, don’t hesitate to apply if you are short on money, we will try to find solutions together., e.i. payment in rates is possible.

PROGRAM
Daka Exchange aims to explore collective solutions to the cross-cutting issues surrounding education for sustainability, Sustainable development goals, climate change, and social justice.
By bringing together eight participants from each city, we leverage the potential for long-term collaborations in addressing local issues. Each part contains workshops, expert meetings, cultural events, as well as excursions. In Tanzania, we are also planning to visit former participant’s projects, retreat in the community forest, government and educational institutes, cultural sites, and artistic projects.

PARTICIPANTS 
Professionals and enthusiasts in the field of education, social work, culture, climate justice and sustainability from Dar es Salaam and Hamburg with a willingness to learn and work with others from mixed backgrounds. Aimed at maximizing collaborations through immersive cultural experiences, the program brings together sixteen participants from diverse professional backgrounds.
